Billy Englishby holds the following licenses:
- Premier Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches
of America (NSCAA).
- B-License from the United States Soccer Federation
- Advanced National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America
- Bachelor of Science in Sports Management
Billy Englishby joined Goldstar 2004 to coach, lead and make a difference with our male players; in particular, goal keepers. Prior to Goldstar, Coach Billy
came to the United States from Preston England on a soccer/academic scholarship to play for NCAA Division 1 Campbell University. He graduated from Campbell with a
Bachelor of Science and Exercise concentrating in Sports Management. At school, he was the Sub-Committee Leader for Academic Integrity and a member of the Student
Advisory Committee. Billy has also competed in the Trans American Athletic Conference, where he was awarded player of the week several times.
Billy is a former North Carolina Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Coach, and has coached for both the Fayetteville Force Soccer Club and Charlotte
Soccer Club.
Billy is Director of Goldstar Soccer Club's Goalie Training
Programs, and welcomes children from other local clubs to participate
in his elite Goal-Keeping Training.
Recently married in 07', we are very excited to have Coach Billy as part of our staff for the boys program, and as a specialist goalie trainer for both boys and girls.
